Spark is an iOS app built by a solo developer, Saksham Virmani. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it. The short version: there isn't much to explain, because Spark doesn't collect your data. Everything you capture stays on your device and, if you enable sync, in your own private iCloud account — never on a server we run or can see.
Spark does not require you to create an account, and it does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking software. We don't know who you are, what you've captured, or how you use the app, and we have no way to find out.
Every spark — every idea, feature, and bug you capture — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. If you turn on iCloud sync, that same data is copied to your personal iCloud account so it can appear on your other devices. That data is encrypted and controlled by Apple's iCloud infrastructure under your Apple ID — Spark has no server of its own, and we cannot access, read, or export your iCloud data.
Spark PRO is offered as an auto-renewable subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details — Apple handles billing, receipts, and refunds according to its own App Store terms. We only receive confirmation from Apple's StoreKit framework that an entitlement is active, which is used locally to unlock PRO features.
If you set a reminder on a spark, Spark schedules a local notification on your device using Apple's notification framework. This never involves sending data anywhere — the notification is scheduled and delivered entirely on-device.
We don't share, sell, or rent any data, because we don't collect any. The only third party involved in running Spark at all is Apple, through the App Store, StoreKit, and iCloud — each governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Spark is not directed at children under 13, and since the app collects no personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect any data from children.
Because all data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, you're always in control of it. Deleting a spark inside the app deletes it everywhere it's synced. Deleting the app removes its local data, and you can remove Spark's iCloud data at any time from your device's iCloud storage settings.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at this same address. Continued use of Spark after a change means you accept the update.
